Jheronimus Bosch became famous for his fantastical creatures and symbols. In the former Sint Jacobskerk (St James's Church) you can enjoy reproductions of all his masterpieces. A film takes you through the life of the painter and his works, while Jheronimus Bosch's caricatures ‘fly’ above your head.
The Jheronimus Bosch Art Center in Den Bosch is entirely dedicated to the life and work of the world-famous painter Jheronimus Bosch. Housed in a beautiful old church (the former Sint Jacobskerk), the museum takes you into Bosch's mysterious and surreal world. Here you can admire reproductions of his masterpieces. The Jheronimus Bosch Art Center immerses you in the work and life of this medieval master – in the very city where he shaped his life and his art.
Don't forget to visit the museum's cellar. Here you'll discover the studio of Jeroen Bosch, which used to be located on the Markt.
