Jeroen Bosch Tuin

The Jeroen Bosch Tuin – a green oasis
Right in the centre of ’s-Hertogenbosch lies the Jeroen Bosch Tuin: a place of peace and quiet. Visitors can enjoy a rich variety of trees and plants, picnic on the grass, let the children play in the small playground or simply relax on a bench in the sun.
History
The garden was once the monastery garden of the Redemptorist Fathers, who lived here between 1855 and 1971 and held their services in the Sint Josephkerk. The monastery and the novitiate are now apartments, while the church is known as the party and conference venue De Orangerie.
Activities
The garden is not only a green oasis but also a place for culture, with exhibitions and performances taking place here, including during the Theaterfestival Boulevard. The garden wall is decorated with a fresco in the style of the famous Den Bosch painter Jheronimus Bosch.
Volunteers
Since 2011, the Vereniging Vrienden van de Jeroen Bosch Tuin (Friends of the Jeroen Bosch Tuin association) has looked after the maintenance and embellishment of the park, in cooperation with the municipality. Every month, volunteers roll up their sleeves to preserve this special garden.
Anyone who would like to contribute to this green Garden of Earthly Delights is very welcome to lend a hand.
